Empowering Our Community Through Music, Culture & Connection
Over 50 Years of Haitian Music & Arts Legacy & Unity in Miami
The Pioneers of Haitian Arts & Music in Miami
“Preserving the Legacy. Igniting the Future of Haitian Sound.”
Welcome to the official home of The Pioneers of Haitian Arts & Music in Miami (PHAMM) — a cultural force built by legends, powered by history, and devoted to the next generation.
Rooted in over five decades of musical and artistic contributions, PHAMM was founded by seven trailblazing members who helped shape Miami’s vibrant Haitian music scene. Our mission began with honoring those who sparked the movement, and has since grown into a broader vision: to preserve, uplift, and pass on the richness of Haitian culture through music and the arts.
We believe that through art and music, we build trust, joy, and deeper human connection. That belief guides our events, outreach, and celebrations of cultural pioneers whose work helped lay the foundation for a more connected and expressive Haitian community in South Florida.
Today, PHAMM is committed to:
Recognizing the original voices and visionaries of Haitian music in Miami
Celebrating Haitian cultural arts in all their forms
Inspiring the next generation to take pride in their roots
Creating spaces where our culture can thrive and evolve
The baton is being passed. From our pioneers to the youth — this is our living legacy.
“Bridging Generations Through Music, Arts, and Heritage”
A Legacy Born in Sound. A Future Rooted in Culture. From humble beginnings to cultural trailblazers, our founders have shaped the Haitian artistic landscape in South Florida for over five decades. Today, PHAMM continues their work by inspiring younger generations to carry the torch of heritage and creativity.
